Tuk tuk to the Road
In the summer of 2007 Jo and I had a book about our tuk tuk marathon published by The Friday Project. Apparently people are still buying this and it was recently (May 2011) top of the travel i-books chart. It’s also been spotted for sale in some rather odd places, like Beijing and Mozambique.
If you would like to order a copy then all you have to do is pop over to Amazon where you can pick it up for about the same price as a Kit Kat.
The Greenwood Guide to Canada
Back in 2002, when I was fresh out of a 4-year marathon partying stint at University, the kind folk at Greenwood Guides packed me off to Canada to co-write their new guide to unusual places to stay here. A glorious 6 months ensued, high-tailing it from Novia Scotia to British Columbia and everywhere in between. I stayed in house-boats, lighthouses, buffalo farms and organic farmstays on tiny, near uninhabited islands. The resultant book was published in May 2003.
Again, this is still available from Amazon, for the cost of about one finger of Kit Kat.
Journalism
In between travelling, working in TV and setting up expeditions for The Adventurists, I’ve done a fair bit of travel writing. Publications I’ve written for include The Guardian, Wanderlust, Motorcycle Monthly, Adventure Journal, Verge magazine and The Daily Mail. I specialise in writing about adventure travel and expeditions, but have also written feature articles.
Here’s a link to a recent piece I had in The Guardian.
