I’ve been working in television since 2002, with stints away from the industry to write books, work for The Adventurists and have my own adventures. However, the telebox always manages to lure me back, and over the years I’ve had some fantastic experiences making documentaries.
Some of the TV programmes I’ve worked on include: Wife Swap (RDF Media, Channel 4), Spitfire Ace (RDF Media, Channel 4), Traveller’s Century (Icon Films, BBC4), The South Bank Show (ITV), World’s Most Dangerous Roads (Renegade Pictures, BBC2), Poaching Wars with Tom Hardy (ITV) and Inside the World’s Greatest Food Markets (BBC2).
I’ve filmed in around forty countries, from the jungles of Borneo to the icy wastes of Siberia, as well as less glamorous locations such as the sewers of London. Recently I’ve produced three episodes of World’s Most Dangerous Roads for BBC2, in Vietnam, Laos, Bolivia and Georgia, and a two-hour series for ITV on the elephant and rhino poaching epidemic. The latter is called Poaching Wars with Tom Hardy (yes, the Tom Hardy) and was broadcast in August 2013.
I specialise in adventure travel, history and current affairs programmes and have a brilliant network of contacts around the globe. Although my specialist countries and regions are Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, Russia and Mongolia, I’ve also worked in China, South America, Europe, the whole Caribbean region and North and Central America.
Here are some of my recent credits….
